In 2023, Joanna embarked on an inspiring journey by founding Ujima Renewed. At its core, Ujima Renewed encapsulates the powerful concept of creating change collectively. Through this venture, Joanna extends her consulting services to organizational leaders and offers counseling services to the community. Ujima, Swahili for "collective work and responsibility," this inspires individuals to unite as a community to address challenges, bolster one another, and collaboratively pursue holistic betterment. With this guiding principle, we can collectively contribute to the well-being and advancement of those around us, forging a path toward positive, shared outcomes together.
Passionate about health equity, Joanna Rosa began a doctoral program in early 2023 to pursue her goal to become a chief health strategist, brokering relationships between communities of color and leaders to empower change together and narrow disparities gaps.
Joanna Rosa is a proud alumni of The Josie R. Johnson Leadership Academy and dedicated to serving the Black community in Minnesota.

Ujima Renewed is proud to announce that we are certified as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation's leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women.
The WBENC Certification process has confirmed that our business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women, and has the appropriate structure and strategic business planning and implementation in place.
By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs, which in turn empowers women as leaders and brings about a more diverse, balanced and sustainable economy.
